Commercial / Industrial Electrical Appreciation

The Commercial / Industrial Electrical Appreciation course has been designed for:

  • Mechanical engineers looking to cross-skill / up-skill to electrical maintenance engineering
  • Organisations looking to multi-skill their workforce
  • Individuals currently undertaken an nVQ and require the underpinning knowledge of commercial / industrial electrical maintenance practices.

The Commerial / Industrail Electrical Appreciation course has been designed to raise awareness, understanding and skills for mechnical engineers and allied trades when working on equipment where there is a requirement to disconnect and reconnect electrical supply and to assess their ability to competently work with electrical services and components.

Each candidate is to attend a 10-day eelectrical appreciation course. An end of course assessment will be carried out to ascertain their appreciation and understanding of the subjects. Should an candidate not reach an acceptable standard then retraining on specific issues will be carried out until attainment of the standard is achieved.
