This route gives the candidate the update/refresher training for the last 5 years with all the chances on the CCN1 Written which is the element within ACS Renewals that causes the most problems.

If you decide to go down the Re-Assessment Assessment route and 100% wasn’t attain on the written the assessor would discuss with the candidate the next best step forward, as at this point he is classed as a “Referral”. This means candidates would get another chance to re-attempt the questions that were incorrect. Once this re-sit has taken place (within 3 months of the original date) and the candidate has still not achieved 100% this is classed as a “Termination”. Crownship at this point is obliged to inform GAS SAFE as the candidate will no longer be able to sign off on their work.
