The City & Guilds 6189 NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating generally follows on from the City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies. Assessment of the City & Guilds 6189 NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating takes place on-site by Crownship’s industry experience and qualified assessors.
| The 6189 level 2 course starts with basic pipe work skills and moves onto more complex plumbing tasks, including airing cupboards, bathroom suites, above ground sanitation, central heating installation (no gas/oil) and low carbon steel. |

| This plumbing qualification course is a mixture of practical workshop and classroom training and will cover all the following units: |
| • Safe Working Practices • Effective Communication • Environmental Protection Measures • Scientific Principles • Site Preparation Techniques • Cold Water • Hot Water • Central Heating Systems • Rainwater Systems • Above Ground Sanitation |
| Following training in all of the above units, assessment will be by a variety of methods including closed book on-line exams, open book on-line exams and practical assessments undertaken within the training centre. |
| Throughout your training we will provide all tools and materials required for you to successfully complete your assessments. All we ask is that you ensure that you have protective footwear and fire-retardant overalls are mandatory for this course. |
| The final stage of this qualification is to complete a variety of practical task in the work environment either for a company or with three on-site assessments. Our assessor will co-ordinate with you at a time and location suitable to the task. |
