City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies

The current C&G Plumbing qualifications: 6129 levels 2 and 3 are to be replaced by C&G 6035-02 - Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing Studies.

The new Plumbing qualification will mean that adult learners will still have a viable option for entry into the plumbing industry without having the immediate pressure of achieving NVQ units which the current C&G 6189 places on them.
The courses are intended for those that want to gain practical skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the plumbing industry as a Plumber. They are also suitable for those wanting to update their knowledge and skills for progression within the industry.
 
Progression can be to:

  • C&G 6035 Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing Studies and/or
  • C&G 6189 Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating and
  • C&G 6189 Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating (as long as C&G 6035 level 3 has been achieved)
 
City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies benfits are:
 
  • City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies (level 2)
  • 8 weeks block (approx.) weekly blocks / day release to suit your situation at no extra cost
  • No previous plumbing experience required
  • Theory and practical sessions each week
  • Technical study material supplied.

    The course is run Monday to Friday  - although weekend courses may be available subject to demand.
     
     
     
    City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies students also receive a free tool kit. This contains all the tools and equipment they will need on the course. It is yours to keep at the end of the course.
     
    City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies theory and practical subjects are:
     
  • Health & safety in building services engineering
  • Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
  • Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
  • Common plumbing processes
  • Cold water systems
  • Domestic hot water systems
  • Sanitation
  • Central heating systems
  • Drainage systems
  • Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering

    Your work is assessed to a City & Guilds Standard. Detail evidence is recorded in your City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies course portfolio. Crownship’s qualified assessors sign off you work throughout the duration of the course. The City & Guilds 6035 Diploma in Plumbing Studies portfolio will contain your detailed description of the plumbing work and photographs, which can be used when seeking plumbing employment with future employers.
