Safe Handling of Ammonia

The Safe Handling of Ammonia course is a imed at individuals currently working on Industrial Refrigeration Systems, this 2-day programme assumes basic refrigeration knowledge.  During the programme the candidate will carry out practical exercises on ‘live’ ammonia plant and demonstrate their competence.  Due to the toxic nature of the product emphasis is heavily based on Health and Safety including; COSHH, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (1999), Environmental Protection Act (1990) and Personal Protective Equipment Regulations (1992).


 
Upon successful completion of the training and assessments (written and practical) the candidate can opt to apply for registration with A.C.R.I.B. (Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board).
 
Please Note: This programme is delivered on customer’s premises with suitable ammonia plant..
 
The aim of this course is to ensure candidates can safely work with ammonia when used as a refrigerant.
