EAL NVQ Level 3 Diploma Electrotechnical Experienced Worker - Distance Learning
The units cover a wide range of topics including health and safety, environmental technology systems, overseeing and organising the work environment, planning, preparing and installing electrical systems and equipment, terminating and connecting conductors, cables and flexible cords, inspecting, testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis and correction. Integral to this qualification is the Electrotechnical Occupational Competence Unit which is assessed by the AM2
| Who is this qualification for? |
| The EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment is a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) aimed at apprentices in the electrical installation sector. Suitable for apprentices 16-18 and 19+ or experienced workers, this qualification is made up of knowledge units and performance units which require occupational evidence. |

| How is the qualification assessed? |

| This course is assessed on completing a portfolio record of evidence gathered of work completed, the candidate must be working in the electrical industry to be able to gather the evidence. The pace completing this portfolio is down to each individual candidate’s working circumstances & in some circumstances, can be completed as quick as 3 – 6 months. |
| Once enrolled onto the NVQ candidates will be assigned an assessor who is suitably qualified into guiding & supporting them through the NVQ process. |
| AM2 |
| It is now mandatory for all candidates who enrol onto any electrical NVQ to complete their AM2 (Assessment Measurement) assessment prior to finishing the portfolio. |
| The AM2 is a 3-day assessment which is delivered at a designated NET training centre. |
| Crownship is not a NET centre but will assist candidates in making the arrangement to take the assessment. |
