City & Guilds 2382-20 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations UPDATE

This course is aimed at persons holding one or more of the following certificates:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:June 2001 (2381) or;
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electro-Technical Technology Installation (Building and Structure) (2330-07) or;
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electro-Technical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08) or:
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part Two (2360) from January 1st 2004 onwards only.

    The objective of the City & Guilds 2382-20 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations UPDATE is to cover the changes from 16th Edition to the 17th Edition of the Regulations, including:
     
  • Scope, Object and Fundamental Requirements for Safety
  • Definitions and Use of the Regulations
  • Assessment of General Characteristics
  • Protection for Safety
  • Selection and Erection of Equipment
  • Special Locations
  • Inspection and Testing
  •  
    This update course is aimed at practicing electricians with a working knowledge of the 16th Edition BS7671: and have already achieved the qualification which addresses BS7671.
    (See qualification as listed above).
     
    It is intended to ensure candidates are conversant with the format, content and application of the current edition of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 (17th Edition).
     
    This course is predominantly theory dealing with Regulations.  It contains no practical aspects. Candidates are advised that extensive home study is an essential course requirement, to assist candidates, the use of examination simulators are available on demand.
     
    Assessments
     
  • Candidates will be required to udertake a 1 hour multiple choice, open book ‘on-line’ examination, the exams may be taken in Hull or at Brigg.
